IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE
23 April – 23 May 2008
Paintings that capture living, transforming the ordinary into the unique and shedding new light on familiar surroundings
Living is an exciting new exhibition by Patricia Ogundero. The artist’s paintings offer us a unique insight into multiple facets of our everyday lives, reflecting the vibrant colours of the world around us. They are infused all at once with joy, love, sorrow and a sense of well-being.
Titles include Starburst, Big Ben, Dreamer, Turbulent Love and the artist’s personal favourites Three little Friends at the Park and Fishes in the Sky. The viewer, seeing aspects of their own lives reflected through Ogundero’s work, will experience a desire to be a part of this unique perspective of Living.
The work is contemporary, with refashioned African and European style, combining to create a technique which is truly the artist’s own.
A renowned Nigerian painter, Patricia Ogundero is now one of Hillingdon’s most popular artists and her work is widely shown in public and private collections across Nigeria and the UK. She runs her own studio and teaches Fine Art in Colleges of Further Education.
All works are for sale and competitively priced.
